Hand Feeding a Veiled?

I have a blind, ten month old veiled chameleon who has been blind for about two weeks now. I have been syringe feeding him Repta-Boost two to three times a day and it`s keeping him alive, but if anyone knows of a better way, or a way to get him to accept hand feeding insects and such, please help me. I would also love to know if there are are any good ways to keep him hydrated? He accepts water from a syringe and I have boosted the relative humidity in his terrarium as well as been giving him a sort of steam shower occasionally.

Welcome to the forums. I commend you on doing what you can for the poor cham. If I may ask how did he go blind?
As for feeding to make things easier, You can take the crickets and place them in the fridge for 5min and then use a pair of small scissors and remove the hopper legs. it makes them much easier for both you and the cham to handle. Once he opens his mouth slowly insert the cricket untill he start to recognize and chew it. As for hydration I use to dip the feeder into water just before I fed it of to u
ensure it was covered in a good solid drop of water.
I used these techs on my dear Camo who had no tounge and lived a wonderfull 2 years with this as a daily routine.

Hope all goes well for you! Thats quite an obsticle for a cham and im glad you are there and willing to help him!
