Can you post a pic of your cage setup, bulb placement and the suspected burn on your cham. In terms of ointment, you can apply antibacterial neosporin, to prevent possible infection. If the burn penetrated through any layers of skin (if there is an absence of scales, reddish or pink fleshy area) it is important that you get to the vet. If the burn is serious, the vet will most clean it out, cover it with a sterile dressing and then provide you with a topical ointment (most likely silvadene) to prevent infection.
