Half morbid question?

they would look like an eyeball with a pupil..

What would a chameleon's eyes look like without the skin over them... would they be black orbs, or white, etc? Just curious.

there is a lady on here that has disected chameleons (after they died from sickness, or old age) and she cleans the skeletons for building, and displaying..she has one of the biggest collections ive ever seen (i had only seen the famous "skele-veiled" its like the only one you can find online)..but i bet she will know the answer to that..

the anatomy of the eye doesnt change due to the appearance around it. there are many different eye visions for different animal adaptations, but overall , it is the same eye structure as any other eye

Any vertebrate eye of course. The eye has evolved separately in several different ways......probably :)
Dragonflies are my favourite insect and they have very different eyes

I would answer you with pictures, but I don't know whether there may be some very sensitive people or younger readers around. So I just explain what it looks like: The eye without skin is a black ball with a big round white area around the pupil. And of course there are some tiny muscles to move the eye.

The thread sdheli420 propably meant is this one : https://www.chameleonforums.com/chameleon-skeletons-61633/.

PM it to me? I can take it, I've watched horror movies since I was 3 and recreate them myself all the time. Going to post some pics on my youtube soon..
