Half Asleep

No he's not sleeping, actually I have a hard time keeping up with his running around. Idk if that's good or bad maybe he's pissed off but he doesn't sit in one place for more than 2 minutes.....

Chamster, I just wanted to clarify. You'd been asked the "day or night" question before and replied "it happens when he's sleeping".

Chameleon sleeping during the day is a much different situation than chameleon sleeping at night. They're supposed to sleep at night.

Is this just a "short term" thing in the hour or so after you turn off the light? Or does this happen hours later when you take a peak?

During the day he's running around like nutts.
During the night he sleeps right away but I can see his eyes closed but one of the lips is kind of open eventhough I can't see his eye pupil.

Both his eyes are close but only one lid is closed because he can't close the other.

INFO

It's been about 2 weeks since my Cham has been eating propper...by propper I mean at least 1-2 silkworms a day and 2-4 superworms a day...

The Cham is about 8 months old
male
ambilobe panther
eats silkworms, crickets and superworms
I spray 3 times a day
enclose is in front of a window
1 heating light indandecent
ficus plant in middle of cage
3 umbrella plants around ficus plant
lots of branches in enclosure for climbing
95F basking spot

this guy is eating about 1-2 worms on a good day../ why has this happened because I have no idea so I'm worried he's sick or something.....

I'm still not clear on whether they "one eye open" thing is all night or just right after "lights out". I don't think it's uncommon for them to "cool down" in their sleepy pose with one eye open for a bit.

If you are concerned about eating, then definitely fill out the form. Don't just try to do it from memory, go copy it, paste it and then type in your information.

I do know that chameleons typically slow down on their eating when they start coming into adulthood. 7 to 8 months is about right for that. Eating like an adult is not a problem for an adult. You cannot expect him to eat as much as he did when he was young. But as you are concerned, you really should fill in the form.

Actually he didn't sleep with his eye open today. That problem is in the past now. Thanks for all the help but for some reason today both eyes are completely closed right when k turned off the lights.

I'm just saying you seem to think one thing is an emergency on one day and the next day think it's old news...that's sort of hard to respond to.
