My father was in the Navy and we were stationed on Guam in the 70"s. Madeleine's husband, Ricky Bordallo was the governor at the time. We wanted to bring our dog with us to Guam, but found out that any domestic animal brought into Guam had to live in quarantine for 6 months. Can you imagine having to go to a dog pound and visit your dog for six months. We were told it was because Guam has never had a case of rabies, and that was to insure that they never had any. I just don't see any legislature banning the importation of animals into the US being able to pass - but with things the way they are now - WHO KNOWS!
