Gweeber Roams Constantly, is it okay?

Hello Chameleon forums, im wondering if it is okay to let my chameleon roam my room more than a small amount of time? Gweeber isnt very old, I purchased him from my local PetSmart on black friday (but he isnt extremely small anymore either) He has a Medium size tank, (it isnt too small he has plenty of room to move and climb) but recently whenever i leave the doors open to either let the humidity lower a small amount, or to see if he wants to explore, he ends up on the other side of the room by the window on the curtain (So the other day i put a fake tree next to the window). It is Winter here in Ohio and not very warm outside, but i keep the room he is in plenty warm for him. My question to you guys is i want to know if him being out of his cage enough will harm his health? The humidity inside my room is obviously not the same as in his tank, along with the temperature right next to the window in the winter. He is currently very healthy and i'd like to keep it that way.
I appreciate the help, this forum has given me so much knowledge thank you guys :)

I have a roamer too. He begs to come out, and he never stays on his free range. I have a basking light, and a UVB light for him since he likes to come out so often. It's a bit chilly in our house today, woke up and it was 59 degrees. Flash of course sees me and immediately wants out. He'll roam, and when he goes somewhere I don't really want him to be in, I'll put him back on his free range, and he'll sit under his basking light to warm up... Then the process starts all over again. Sometimes he goes back up to his basking spot all on his own. Either way, as long as there's nothing around to harm (cats, dogs, etc), and if you're going to be around him, I see nothing wrong with letting him roam.

Thank you, i will look into getting another light for his favorite roaming spot ;)
