Gutloading

I am currently gutloading my insects with watercress, apple, sweet potato, papaya and dandelion leaves but how long before the food goes to my chameleon should they be gutloaded. I read somewhere to do it 12 hours before feeding is this right?
Thanks :D

I've found it's best to feed them constantly with what nutrients you want your cham to get.

I've got kale, carrots, collards, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, lettuce, potatoes, apple and a few other little things. I'll throw in calcium bricks every now and then as well.

I also give my insects fresh fruits, veggies, nuts etc for their entire life. The longer they eat well the healthier they are. If you are buying insects and want to feed them I would say gutload at least 12 hours ahead, but then feed them the good stuff until they are all fed off.
