Gutloading

1. what should i gutload my chameleons locusts with? i have hydroballs so what else?

2.should i gut load my locusts before i go to school so when i come back they will be ready to be fed or is 7 hours too long??

I think some people do it like an hour before feeding but I just let my crix eat everything I give them the whole time I have them until I'm out... That might be the wrong way to do it, so any experts, jump in and let me know please :D

All my feeders are fed the best fruits, veggies, grains at ALL times. In the caresheets there is a list of best, good, and ok with add to everytime. I follow it with some of my own additions. I also look at sandra's recipes for ideas. Bug Burger is thrown in there too.

I don't think it is possible to gutload too much. IMO the longer they are given to eat the gutload the better. I don't think that an hour gives enough time for the crix to truly load their guts with the good stuff. I have often heard at least 24 hours to be the best amount of time. Many on here but them in bulk and keep the gutload in with them at all times, allowing them to be well fed at all times.

theres almost never a time my feeders don't have food. as much as I give them food to benefit my cham but its also to keep them alive
