Gutloading Mix

I am thinking of making up a batch of gutload to freeze. I was thinking about using squash, sweet potato, a small amount of carrot and apple and maybe some lettuces leaves of various sorts. I want to use green beans to but can I use green beans?

Can anybody think of anything else that's great for gut loading.

Also, if I wanted to feed these kinds of veggies and fruits straight to my chameleon, will this be ok?

She's pretty good with salad leaves and she likes some fruits.

Should be fine to feed directly to a veiled. Try adding squash, carrots, mustard greens, zuchinni, raspberries, blue berries are all good options.

Great thanks. I think I worry more about what fruits I should be giving. I'll give the berries a try =D

All those are good choices but if your feeding grapes. I think the purple grapes are more nutritious the green ones arent as good an option.
You can try to feed all those directly. The cham will decide which ones he/she likes. Then just use the rest on a nice gutloading mix for your feeders.

One other great ingredient to use is bee pollen, usually found at farmers markets/health food stores. Sandrachameleon has some good blogs on the breakdown of nutrients in various gutload ingredients that are a great reference when choosing ingredients.

Thanks!

I do feed grapes occaisionally because she loves them. She would do anything for a grape!! But they are usually a treat =D
