Gut-Load Smoothie

Does anybody ever add calcium carbonate powder to the smoothie? I have one veiled chameleon that refuses to eat powdered bugs so I actually inject some of his food bugs with calcium powder mixed with a little water. He's such a baby.

Veileds will actually lick the powder as is. I used to place a cream cheese lid with calcium powder in it, in my late Veileds enclosure, and he would come down to the cage bottom and lick it up.

Instead of water, try Gelatin instead. It would eliminate all the water that comes from the cube thawing out when placed in the insect enclosure.

No gelatin use agar gelatin is not good for them
