Gum swelling/black lips

her main diet is dubias and bsfl, so that’s why her teeth have black and have been black. I was able to dislodge that black dot IN her mouth with a wet q-tip and the stuff on her lips looks like it could come off, but do her gums look swollen?

the black IN her mouth came off and on the front it looked like I could pull it off but I had to be somewhere and left it alone. yes i’ll post a picture. the fiber on it is from the q-tip lol. the next earliest time she can lay is end of november so i’m getting her lay bin in this weekend. I got a new one and need to drill holes in it first. I don’t believe they’re her receptive colors, this is how she looks all the time and when she’s receptive she’s super vibrant and there’s a difference but i’m getting the lay bin in and it’ll be a permanent part of her enclosure

So the discoloring is not something you want to see it can indicate mouth rot. Next time she gapes or opens up to get food look on the inside again. If it was food stuck it will not be there and the tissue should look healthy pale pink. If it is still black you want to get her in with a vet. She has some beautiful coloring to her.
