I was skeptical about my Zoo Med analog guages I have in my cage, so I went out and bought a fancy shmancy cigar hygrometer and got the calibration bag, then dialed it in
The cigar guage is unsuitable for inside the cage cause its battery powered and looks like it would die for sure if it got misted. But I must say..... I was quiet impressed with the acuracy of the Zoo Med units, I have 3 of them. All of them were within 1 or 2 degrs. Temp. and only off 2 or 3 percentage points on humidity too. Ive heard so many say the analogs were junk... I believe now they are not. Just thought I would share my findings...
Yep thats the real humidity in my apt. Luckily for my cham... He has a Mist King to keep him comfy!
