My young veiled has been starting to act weird, he has been pacing around and acting different than when we got him. Is this something I should be worried about? Also, today his coloring looks a little grey. We haven't been doing anything different so just wondering if I should be concerned, first time owner! Thanks :)

Are you sure it's a male? Does he have spurs (bumps) on the back of his feet? If he doesn't...you have a female and she may be gravid and needs to lay eggs. This could be one reason for the pacing back and forth. If that's the case you need to provide a laying bin for her or she can become egg bound.

Veileds approaching 6 months often go through a brownish color phase that transitions into their full adult coloration. Dull color can also be an early sign of an approaching shed. You haven't had him very long yet and he may be starting to feel more territorial over his space. Also, many go through a "terrible teen" phase at about this age as their hormones start kicking in.

You should be dusting with plain calcium (no added vitamin D3) lightly every day. Dust with calcium with added D3 twice a month. Dust with herp multivitamin twice a month.

You need a screen cage asap. At least 3 sided screen, all of mine are 4 sided. Also you need to do calcium every feeding, calcium with D3 once every 2 weeks and multivitamin for chameleons once every couple weeks. You chameleon is on the thermometer so I would recommend getting some taller branches so he is more conformable. What UVB light do you have and how often is it replaced?

Also you should not have a water bowl, it is rare for any chameleon to drink out of sitting water so remove it and just do a few 30 sec mists a day. How much do you feed of each thing?
