Growing veggies/fruit in enclosure?

Anyone do this? Was thinking, how nice would it be to have some gutload growing right in the enclosure for any wandering feeders. Dandelion and other greens immediately come to mind.

If they grow in your cage HALF as well as they grow in my lawn and vegetable garden... Look out! Seriously though, that's a pretty cool idea.

Having something like a grape grow in your enclosure would be awesome, some grapes can also provide pretty awesome branches for your cham to climb on.

I may have to look in to this idea.

I was thinking about grape vines as well, but I think they like conditions a bit more dry than our enclosures. However their are many varieties of grapes so it is very possible that there is one that likes moist conditions, I don't really know.

Back to this thread, anyone grow dandelion greens or any other leafy veggies? I find crickets and roaches tend to hide a lot in my enclosures, would be nice to have some nutritious foods growing. I'm really not familiar with growing vegetables, never had a garden, but would like to. So i don't really know what requirements they have.

Dandelions will just grow. They thrive in all conditions. I think that's why they are so successful.
