Cage Info:
Cage Type - 12x24x24 Aluminum screen mesh. Got it from Kammerflage with my chameleon.
Lighting - Zoo med reptisun 5.0 florescent bulb. 75wt basking bulb. 12 hours on, 12 hours off.
Temperature - 90-93 basking area, 77-80 in the middle, 74 at bottom right. At night, my house rarely drops below 70, and never below 65. I measure with a temp gun.
Humidity - I mist every hour and a half to two hours. I keep a dripping system running for 4-5 hours during the day. It stays mostly between 50 and 80% humidity. Measured with digital probe.
Plants - 1 Schefflera, some fake plants on the sides.
Location - Next to my desk, so I am sitting next to it a lot, but it's the best place in my apartment for it. It stressed him out at first, but I think he's gotten used to me. The top of the cage is about 5 and a half feet above the floor, so its a little below eye level.
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - 4 month old panther from Kammerflage. I've had him for about a month and a half.
Handling - Never.
Feeding - around a dozen small crickets daily. Gut-loading with cricket food and gel and fresh oranges. I have just recently been feeding him one mealworm every other day.
Supplements - M/W/F = Herptivite Multivits. T/Th = Minerall-O Calcium w/o D3. Once a month I give him Herptivite Calcium with D3. Dusting 4-6 crickets each time.
Watering - Lil' Dripper runs about 5 hours during the middle of the day. I mist fairly heavily, every hour and a half to two hours. He drinks in front of me, he slurps it off leaves as well as snipes water beads hanging on the cage and vines.
Fecal Description - He has never been tested for parasites. His poop is usually two brown lumps stuck together with white urate. Today his urate was slightly yellowish
History - I was originally using the rubbery knotted reptile vine, until I found him ripping pieces of it off and eating them. I replaced them with something else immediately. He was slightly lethargic for a couple days, but seemed to get over it.
Current Problem - Yesterday I saw him grinding his teeth on the rocks I have covering my plant's soil, and he did it again today.
I put my main concerns in bold. I am also wondering when I should start cutting back his feeding to 5-6 medium crickets a day?
