My male panther has been sick for the past few weeks and is currently being treated. He no longer shows any signs of illness common in chameleons (lethargy, closed eyes...etc) however his appetite is still not totally normal and he has this strange skin thing going on. He is on antibiotics (10 DOSES OF CLAFORAN(CEFATAXIME) ANTIBIOTIC. EVERY 72 HOURS HE IS GIVEN AN INTRAMUSCULAR INJECTION IN ALTERNATING FRONT ARMS) because his white blood cell count is 1300 and my vet advised me a normal/high level is 800-900. I am assuming this skin discoloration has something to do with whatever type of infection he is being treated for, but I am nore sure and I am having difficulty researching this strange condition. Anyone have any ideas whats going on or have experienced similar isssues with their chameleons?
