Great lakes horn worm shipping question

I was planning on ordering 500 crickets from them. I live in Michigan where the temps this week are 37F for the high and 27 for lows. I was Just wondering what the best shipping option would be and how many of the heat packs I would need. Thanks for looking

Your only shipping option would be overnight delivery. If you took a chance with priority mail or second day you might just end up with a bunch of dead crickets.

On the website they have 3 day shipping uni-heat packs. It says they last for 72 hours. I'm just wondering how many I should use to keep 500 crickets warm. They don't specify how many and I've never ordered online before

Rob at GLH will put enough heat packs in, he has been doing shipping of reptiles and bugs for years.:D

Email him your questions, he will give you a straight answer.

Oh ok. It seemed like I had to select how many I wanted though. Do they automatically include the heat packs in the winter?

They automatically put heat packs in if they're needed. I believe they sell the heat packs for other people to buy to use for their own shipping use. I'm really happy with the crickets and hornworm egg pod I got from them. The hornworms just hatched today. :) They're so much cuter when they're small, lol.
