It feels like such a long time ago! Hyde was going through all the gyrations of being pregnant, scratching, mulling around the bottom of her enclosure, everything. I was clueless, she was my 1st, had no idea and I was stressed out.
Joined this Forum, read up, asked questions, yadda, yadda. Didn't help me because Hyde didn't do anything, and she was fat for a long time, posted pics, everyone thought she looked preggo. But nothing!
Couple months went by freaking out, worrying if she was going to go septic. Guy I bought the chameleon from suggested I try mating her, thought maybe it would encourage her to lay eggs. So we tried it. That was 4-5 months ago.
They mated but nothing????? So here we were four months later and she was starting to bore me. Then this past Saturday, I was looking around in her enclosure and couldn't locate her. But all of a sudden there she was in her laying bin?????
In the corner with her butt buried in dirt and just lying perfectly still, I was not sure whether she was dead or alive. So I investigated a little closer and observed, no movement. Well let me be a little unothodox, I spritzed her a little. She moved a little, so at least I knew she was alive.
Next day checked on her. Now there was a mound of dirt and she was looking real skinny. Check it out! 54 eggs in total, 14 bad the rest are in incubation. Lets see what happens, never know !
