Gray/yellowish damp looking spot on belly

My chameleon has had this spot for about 3 months, it doesn't go away but hasn't gotten worse either. Any ideas about what it may be and how to make it heal? Thanks, Greyozzy

Looks like a burn on both sides. She may be continually reburning that one spot. How close can she get to the basking light?

One thing to ask is whether she tends to hang upside down from the top of her cage directly under the basking light. If not, this isn't a typical place for a thermal burn. One simple and safe thing you could do is put some OTC Polysporin antibacterial ointment (without pain reliever) on the spots to fight ongoing infection. It won't hurt anything. If this does not improve after treating it, might be a fungal infection that will need some other treatment.

The basking light does not sit on the cage, though the UVB light does. Her UVB light bulb does not get hot enough for her to get burned on it. She used to hang upside down but she has not for several months. I will rub the polysporin antibacterial ointment on it and see if it gets any better. Thanks, Greyozzy.
