I don't know how old my veiled is but she is making some really cool colors and spots. Sometimes she goes close to the ground and looks around not for food because she has free range crickets and silkies and for fun some flightless fruit flies:p but she passes them up to look closer to the ground. I was wondering if she is gravid or not because i heard that if they dont hatch their infertile eggs it could be a big problem for chams. Can anyone post some gravid colored chams(preferably veileds) as to compare. Thanks

Awesome thanks ....i knew that this was in here somewhere:rolleyes: Well from what i see in that thread i can kinda confirm she is gravid. The only weird thing is that she has not been exposed to a male since i first got her 3 months ago. I thought she would have had to been exposed before she became receptive and started to fertilize eggs? or have i misread something:confused:

Females will lay eggs even if they are infertile. You need to have a laying bin in with a female veild whether she has been exposed to a male or not.
