Glad to hear it went the way it should!

I only leave the cage without a container long enough to dig up the eggs and change the sand once in a while. I think its important that there is a container in the cage all the time once the egg-laying female is mature.

If you mean why I leave the container in the cage...if there's a container in the cage at all times you can't miss the sometimes subtle indications that the female needs to lay eggs....so there is less chance that she will become eggbound from not being able to lay them.
