thats before she saw my male ususally when she sees the male she doent go black and orange she turns pinkish and doesnt open her mouth and gape but she kinda got fat and doesnt eat very much anymore and always hides
Its hard to really determine based on those photos. One important tool that IMO I feel every person that owns females should have is a scale that weighs in grams. You can easily track the weight of females, and sometimes this can give you an edge in determining weather or not they are gravid. Make sure you have a laying bin in with this female, composed of half playsand, and half coco fiber. This media seems to work best for me (although there are other medias you can use). Be sure the media is most enough to hold a tunnel without collapsing, but not to moist either. Keep an eye on her feeding habits, and her behavior. If you notice alot of pacing, and refuses food, it is safe to say she is gravid, and preparing to lay.
she just chills in one spot and i saw her eat one cricket the whole week i hope she lays soon she seriously got ALOT fatter and bigger but she has never been with a male that " can do the thing " so they are infirtile do you want any pics before i noticed all this new stuff she used to be white and black all the time with grey and now she is orange and black black black especially when she sees the male when she used to see him she wouldnt mind him and turned pink idk i dont want her egg bound
Nic's given you good advice. Its quite possible your girl is carrying a load of eggs, in which case a laying area/tub with suitable media added to your cage is a sound idea, just in case. Observe, dont disturb.
ate one cricket the other day with calcium and no poop today she is super fat, climbed onto me today and her nails are huge she has a strong grip and drinks but barely eats if eats at all i would love to kno exactly if she is gravid or not im starting to get worried the more i read YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how can i know for sure ill measure ill take pics ill do any method to find out HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE
i might try a horn worm she usually loves supers and wont do those anymore and only one cricket in 7 days YIKES no poop i just dont wanna loose her she will produce SUPER AMAZING offspring and is my little buddy and yes i have a laying bin and hydration is no problem she LOVES her water should i mix a lil calcium in the water?????
Try to give her some peace and if she starts digging don't let her see you watching her. Some chameleons seem to grow long nails when they are getting ready to dig.
alright but she never tries to dig she has a nice fat time period alone from 630 to 5 unless my mom is by her while im at school she is in the same spot all the time (up high)
