Gravid or just bored?

I have a female veiled she was purchased 4 months ago as a baby (barely 2 inches long). She usually sits in her cage watching and basking. Or she may hang out on a limb. The last 2 days she paces around her cage. She is NOT a friendly girl so I have attached a picture with my hand on the outside of the cage so I can show her size (I hope it worked). I have put a coconut fiber filled bowl in her cage incase she is gracid. I put one of her favorite plants in as you can see she loves to play and eat it. I am worried about the pacing. It is not constant but it is alot more than she normally does.

May I ask why you have a water bowl with an air bubbler in her cage?

I was told they dont drink standing water. I was told they will stand in it. I dont have a dripper anymore because it never worked right. I spray 4-5 times day. Do I not need it?

So yeah you want to remove this. They do not stand in water. They drink from water on leaves. Typically a dripper can be used during the day and then you should be misting in the morning and the evening when the cage is cooler rather then during the day when it is hotter from the lighting. A solo cup can be used just use a pin and poke a hole in the bottom place it on top of the cage so it is dripping on plants.

What type of lights did they have you buy for UVB and heat?

You asked..."So you think she is getting ready to lay eggs?"...
Not sure...but if you have a proper laybin in her cage when she is ready she will have a place to lay them.

How many insects do you feed her a week?

Below is the light. To answer the cricket question I have learned recently I was over feeding her AND doing it all wrong. Up until 2 days ago we were feeding her 8 crickets a day plus 5 superworms. I know now that I should only be feeding her 5 crickets a day and super worms occasionally. I was told to feed her as much as she can eat in half an hour. We have changed it.

I usually cut mine down slowly once they are around 5 months of age (I go partly by the size of the chameleon as to when I do it) and then if the first clutch is bigger than I want or if I want to stop the reproduction completely, I make further cutbacks. I don't want a skinny chameleon but I don't want a fat one either. Each chameleon is a little different so that makes it so its not an exact science.

Oh good because cutting her completely back was not making her any happier. Do you think she is too fat? She has a vet appointment coming up so I am just wondering.

Ok so this fixture will not work for preventing MBD. It is not the correct UVB for chameleons. You will want to get a 5.0 or 6% bulb for a T5HO fixture.
Then basking level would be 8-9 inches below this fixture for the correct UVI level.
The fixture needs to run the width of the enclosure.

So the long one runs the extent of the cage then were do we put the basking light. She likes sitting at the top of the cage.
