I was just curious if these were safe for a year old veiled to eat

I catch wild grasshoppers in an area that's protected from pesticides, fertilizers, etc. Wait 24 hours then feed off. My chameleon goes NUTS for them!

It depends on what you are looking for honestly with the feeders. For silkworms and hornworms my favorites are Coastal Silkworms and Great Lakes Hornworms. I don't buy crickets in bulk but have heard good things about Ghanns. As for dubia roaches, I breed my own but do regularly buy need adults and older babies, about once a year, to introduce new blood and it all depends on what I need at the time and who has the best deal. I often buy all my other weirder feeders from Nick Barta on the forums.

Does Nick have a website?

Nick is the man bro. He has a great amount of knowledge of feeders, feeder care, products like gut loads, feeder cups. He's kind of like the "godfather" of feeders around here...

I mean I have successfully raised a generation of captive grasshoppers from wild grasshoppers, honestly unless you love taking care of bugs like I do and are willing to wait (because you have generally a good amount and variety of other feeders) don't try it.
