Grasshopper eggs diapause

Does anybody with experienced in grasshoppers know how long could their eggs be in diapause? For example, I know that silkworm eggs can be kept in the fridge for up to 6 months (according to some people) even when they only need to be in diapause for 2-3 months. Is this the same case with grasshoppers or would the eggs just not hatch if you left them for too long in the fridge?

The natural diapause is a winter long. There are long hard winters and short easy winters. They survive both. Experiment a little. Maby we all can learn from your time and effort!

I never did a diapause on grasshoppers, wouldn't know they layed eggs until I saw nymphs...

Haha must have been a nice surprise! I believe that not all grasshoppers need a diapause. I'm not 100% sure on that though. Do you know what kind of grasshopper you had?
