Grade my baby Panther setup please?

Hey all just finished setting up everything and getting it ready. My new panther should be coming with in the next two weeks. Is there anything I should add or am i good? As for lighting im using a zoo med dual 60 watt bulbs and 24 inch reptisun 5.0 bulb.

when you say baby how old?...your lighting sounds alright is there suppost to be a pic?

ahh,, i see it now... i dont think you will need that dual basking bulb set up..i would think it will heat up a good deal of the cage rather then a designated "basking area"

The baby is about three months he is coming from screameleons....

So I guess I should just leave one light on instead of both....

I agree wit Forever... one basking bulb is enough. Give your youngster a chance to escape the heat if it chooses to.

ok,..yeah the pic is therenow... thats a good size set up for a 3 month old panther..i would ditch one of the heat bulbs for sure and if possible get a dome fixture for the remaining heat bulb.that will create a more sectioned off basking area.

also try to elevate some of that pothos.. wrap a vine or 2 around your bio-vines

At least im off to a decent start lol. Ok quick ques im looking for a digital thermometer and hygrometer. I went to home depot and couldnt find one anywhere.

i use a thermometer hygrometer combo from lowes called acurite(sp?) it works great..its in the gardening section

i have a similar set up but my pothos is in a hanging pot i rivited a bar across the top outside and put a small hole in the screen to put the hook thru the plant is suspended and the vines grow down

your off to a great start! dont be afraid to ask questions,.. there are plenty of members on this forum whos knowledge and experience far surpasses mine and can pretty much answer any question you could have..so ask away! im glad to help..i love baby panthers..

i got a springfield presice temp from home depot it was ten bucks its digital hygrometer and therm

I would bring that foliage up closer to the top of the cage. Otherwise you might find him hanging upside down from the top to get closer to the lights.

pothos is good when it is hanged but the cham would need more foiliage around the upper portion of his cage

i would get some small dwarf umbrella plant and maybe a small majesty palm too
