Good supplies?

go for the tube reptisun 5.0 . That's what I use. Not that the other one wouldn't be good. Keep in mind that you need to change UVB/UVA bulbs out every 6 month. Because the more it gets used the less UVB/UVA it gives off. Hope this helped.

Why Im concerned with them is- CFL's phosphor coating tends to chip away. Allowing significant levels of UV rays out - enough to effect humans.

Although FDA regulates CFLs under the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 21 Part 1000, there are currently no specific standards or annual reporting requirements for CFLs. Manufacturers of CFLs are subject to CFR 21 part 1002.20, which requires CFL manufacturers to report accidental radiation incidents should any occur.

short and sweet! That's perfect. You will need a dome of somekind for a regular housebulb (basking spot) You can get those for super cheap at lowes. Also, don't forget the supplements you will need. There are three. 1. Calcium w/o D3-every deeding use 2. Calcium w/d3- twice a month 3. Multivitamins (herptivite)-also every other week.
