One of my female Mitsio has a great feeding response, she is the quickest to go for any food items.....however
She is actually eating the least.
About a week ago I noticed all these dead roaches, crickets, and worms on her floor, each of them chewed in half. I started observing her a little more closely. She will eat the first one or two items, and then all the other bugs she catches, she chews for about 10 seconds and then spits them out.
Sometimes she will eat part of the bug, but not all.
They are all gutloaded differently, and being different insects would have different tastes. I have tried no supplements, Repashy, Flukers, and Zoo Med supplements, so it's not the taste of the powder or lack thereof.
I did notice that the food items she does eat first, are coated with the Repashy Calcium PLUS. God knows I have had picky chameleons in the past, but is this chameleon addicted to Repashy?
In the time it has taken me to write this post, she has chewed and spit out 2 crickets and 2 roaches, she only ate the first one.
Any ideas?
