Good Camera?

Hello all! Im not sure if the thread belongs here, but it is a supply.
That being said, i am in the market for a camera, but i dont know jack.
so, i need some help here. im not a millionare and i'm not a photographer
so i dont want to spent a fortune.

What is a good High Res. digilat camera that i can buy? what is the price.
i wont be using it often i just need it for the occasional picture,

I use a digital rebel xti. You can buy a package that comes with a lens between $600 and $700. I consider that expensive, but it's a good start if you really want to get into it.

Otherwise there are some great point and shoots out there. I just don't know what they are.

Do a search, there's been some threads about this already I believe.

cannon xti went for750-800$ bit exspensive, but if it is worth it why not?!?!?

I also reccomend a rebel for starting out, you can use it for years, and then if you decide you really like photography you can get somethign better, but the rebel will be a very good camera for years.

Photography is not about what kind of camera you have though, its about how and what you take pictures of. You can take amazing pictures with a disposable camera.

I got my rebel used with a 3 different size lens and a case on craigslist for $325. Check craigslist, or if you prefer, buy new. (~$500-700)
