Does anyone know if this plant is safe for use? I found it last night in my search, but did not buy it because i could not find info on it...has anyone used it?

Well i just looked it up and it is the schefflera arbicola listed on the site...that would have saved some time! Sorry..

patented variety - trade name

As you figured out, it is a variegated variety of dwarf Schefflera, S. arboricola 'Golden Capella'. its very popular in Florida as a landscape plant. As a house plant it needs even more light than the other forms because it doesn't have as much chlorophyll-bearing leaf area.

Its patented, so commercial propagation is by arrangement with the patent holder. This does not mean you can not make more for yourself.

I have a list of 19 patented arboricolas. Will put it up here at some point.
