Picked these up today. Great starting supplies. Got a ficus too.

Anybody ever find out if orchids are safe? I was concerned that their pollen might cause problems with eyes or respratory system

Looks pretty good so far don't forget the uvb light and yes 2 species of orchids are the safest and easiest insont remeber the names I just remeber one starts with a ph I have one in my chams cage right now go to google and type in orchid ph and it should show a suggestion and just click it print out the pick and go buy one and ill instruct you wut to do after

Hey you are on track. You will need a way to catch the dripping water PLUS a spray bottle. Also (in my opinion) you should keep your eyes open for free branches on the curb or alleys from people's yardwork. just be sure to post pics here for identification and safety. You need to just cram a ton of branches in there and free is the way to go for that.

I wont need to catch the drippings cuz im putting the cage on a big planter box so i can have all kinds of safe plants in there. The orchid will go in a small orchid pot in the cage above the soil though, cuz they need bark and little water. ;-) i also have light fixtures. just need a new bulb and i can start planting.

and thanks guys. And i need to give a big thanks to karen for the supplies.

Also, FRESH AIR......:p

How long is the planter? And will be inside or outside? Dont want those rabbits u got getting into ur cage afterall......

Well i got it pretty much done. I went with a smaller box inside the cage for now but ill get the bigger box to put underneath when i get rid of the empty cages in my herp room.
Also added a new cage cuz ill be babysitting for a lil while. And they arrive tomaro. Ill post pics when they r in thier new bachelor pads
