I couldn't be any more excited than I am, after months of preparing I will be recieving my first panther tomorrow morning!
What's everyone's procedure upon recieving their bew family members? At work when recieving reptiles we open the box for 10 minutes to light-acclimate them before attempting to move them to their enclosures.
So, what do you do after having chameleons shipped to you?

Oh! And, I'm going to need help naming her! she's a young blue bar! have at it!

Congrats on your new girl. Sorry can't help with the release procedure as both of mine are rescues. I like the name Chaos.

I usually just open the box in a dark room and let him wake up slowly. move him in the container to the cage and let them crawl out on his own.

I have never done this but have heard of

If it were a really stressed Cham, I have heard some , Turn the steam on in the bathroom and let it get really humid. open the box and let him sit in the bathroom with the steam on for a little while. Not in the shower just the dark bathroom. Allow some light in so he wakes up by opening the door then place him in the cage.
