getting him to eat out of a cup....

I have a 4 month old jackons and up till this point i have been simply putting crickets in his cage for feeding time where he will usually pick them off the screen as they climb up. Recently i have added more variety to his diet by offering him silk and wax worms which i place in front of him but this is a pain.

so my question is, how do i get him to start eating out of a cup? where should i place it, how big/deep should it be and should it be opaque or not? any tricks for getting him to use it?

I found a cup hanging so that the rim is level with the basking perch is good. The lizard spends some time there and will be looking down into it.
Transparent/opague is entirely up to you, my veiled never had an issue with clear cups but others have. :)

just stop letting your feeders roam an be prepared to go a day without eating , and he will find it and use it just fine, i prefer to keep mine towards the top of the cage, but off to the side, so its not getting pooped in, or drippered in ,opaque is best, if it is clear they will shoot at the outside walls of the cup if they are lower than it, xanths are stupid when it comes to glass and clear stuff, be careful of sharp lips, you can just secure it with a simple bread tie
