Hi well ive just about set up the enclosure and ive got my lighting just about sorted but im worried about the bamboo sticks ive put in, ive secured them the best i can but i found it really difficult in the screen cage, ive used wire plastic tie things, but im worried they wont hold when the chameleon atarts walking on them and im worried there too thin?
Can someone tell me how to post a picture on her because i want opinions on how it looks so far, I still need to add bits but i want to know if the gerneral gist is right and if my braches look secure enough.
Also im worried about the bottom because it so flimbsy that wanter willn seak through from the missting but i really dont want to have to ptu a drainage sytem in, will a big puddle form at the bottom or does it evaperate before that point?
sorry for the long list of questions but i need awnsers i want it to be right .

What about putting a drop of hot glue on the wire wrap around the sticks? Might help hold them in place. Or, if you have a small drill you could drill a hole in the sticks close to the ends and thread your wire through them.

Without pics its hard to say what will work for water control on your cage bottom. If you lay some cloth or paper towels down they will absorb a lot of it.

I tried bamboo sticks, but they were too slippery.
Had to replace them with tree branches.

I use thumbtacks to put branches in the cage, but sometimes I need a dab
of hotglue too.

Best way to secure those bamboo branches is to drill a hole in them and then slip a twist tie through and attach to the screen that way. The way you attached the wiring around the branches may cause problems for your cham moving throughout the cage. At least tie the wiring around the ends so that the wiring that you put through the screen does not get in your chameleons way.

Bamboo is a pain in the *** to drill holes into. I've found bamboo that is really thin and the only way I managed to drill holes through it is by filling the end with hot glue, letting it dry and then drilling through that because if not the bamboo just constantly splits. If you can find other bamboo that is somewhat thick, you can easily drill holes through it. I found bamboo awesome and did not notice it to be too slippery for my panther cham. They also hold onto water very well!

One other thing that I noticed is that you only have horizontal branches. I would have added vertical branches by making a large X going from front bottom left to top right and front bottom right to top left. You have one going from the bottom left to the right but its definitely not long enough.
