...at the SouthBay Chameleon Keepers meeting where we meet every month to trade stories, talk shop, exchange feeders, and hang out with other people who know what we are talking about! If you live in Southern California and would like to spend an afternoon with people who enjoy chameleons come on down and join us!
We are meeting at our Brea location (North Orange County) on Saturday Feb 23 from 2PM to 5PM. For the address send an RSVP to [email protected] or PM me here on the chameleon forums.

Everyone is welcome!

We have a table for people to bring food items for general club enjoyment. If you would like to come you are encouraged to bring a favorite treat! Chameleons are also welcome and we do have some regular chameleon attenders. In fact, I am not sure some of them are clear in their minds that they are supposed to be chameleons! A life time of having humans serve them has made them see us as servants. (Yeah, you, Darwin)

Come on by and check it out!

I'll be there. After a work hiatus (my season to make money) I get to attend again. Will bring the Crack, and Super Chow. If Kevin does a Mulberry run, I'll do a cricket run. And will also bring a few mantis as pets and feeders.

Cool. Let us know, I need both worms and crickets.:)

I need some crack for sure and maybe some mantis for feeders.

If everyone brought a cham, wouldnt there be a lot a hissing and flair ups with having a dozen chams in view of each other?

I can order from Coastal Silkworms if needed.

We have yet to have a problem with chameleons being in view of each other at the meeting. Of course, each member must make the decision as to whether their chameleon is suitable for being brought. Shyness is more of a concern than aggressiveness, really. Chameleons are quite tolerant of each other as long as they are not put in the same cage or on the same branch/human.

That said, each chameleon brought has it's own space to retire to if there is trouble.

I have dubias for sale if anyone needs some. Send me a PM.

I will also have Girl Scout cookies too! (for human consumption only-not recommended for your reptiles):D

Steve, I'll bring my quad so you can see how big she is.

I also have Pacific Treefrog tadpoles/eggs available. They are the native treefrog in our area, so you can raise them up and let them go in your backyard! PM me if you want any:)

And the cricket ordering window is closed. See you tomorrow. Anyone want to go on a hike to look for those things ;) I find this time of year on the local trails?

Bugs.

Hey guys.

Renee and I will be doing a bug run, but only after we have a vet visit with our mamal, Suzie. She had an accident today when I was walking her and hurt her foot. I need to get a vet to look at it since I am able to move something around within her leg.......... I wanna make sure it isn't broken.

We have an early vet visit, so if we are out of there by 10 we'll head down to get bugs. We might be a bit late to the meeting. So just PM me and ill get you what you need, or text if you have my number. I have no idea what Mulberry has available, so just keep that in mind.

And Eliot, Karen and Jeremy's friend. If you are at the meeting, lets get settled on your LowProfile RainDome from the December meeting! Or maybe I can hand off to someone for delivery?

Also if anyone has any use for used cages... I have several I will have available. These have been in the garage for a couple of years... Figure I can part with a few...:

2 @ 18"x18"x36" One is black the other is grey/silver
2 @ 16"x16"x30" I think both are brown
2 @ 16"x24"x30" Both are brown, but one is on loan to someone right now... These are the Kammer's cage style of enclosure. I really like these as female and baby cages.

OK, I guess I didn't post this last night when I wrote it.....

so it's 10am and we're home so we're gonna head down and get bugs.

How much are you going to sell the cages for?

How much are you going to sell the cages for?

2 @ 18"x18"x36" One is brown the other is grey/silver Brown LLL brand - $30 since it has a couple of small holes on one or two panels). Silver - $30 since it's not a LLL brand screen is fine
2 @ 16"x16"x30" I think both are brown Brown - $30 (In really good shape)
2 @ 16"x24"x30" Both are brown, but one is on loan to someone right now... These are the Kammer's cage style of enclosure. I really like these as female and baby cages. Kammer Cages - $25 each as they aren't like new. One has holes in the top panel from who I purchased the cage from. Could easily be re-screened for a few bucks at Home Depot
