he’s always been on the smaller side, but he’s a great eater and definitely a healthy boyCongrats! Is he eating well for you? Looking a little thin in the limbs and the casque is a little more concave than it should be.
Thats wonderful. He has some beautiful coloring. I would expect for his age for him to be a little more filled out. Limbs being smaller is not necessarily a bad thing but his casque being more concave like it is indicates he is under weight. The reason why I was asking if he is a good eater is if he is and is not putting on weight this can indicate a parasite issue. Which unfortunately is rather common. Some do not cause harm while other parasites in higher numbers can cause health issues. You would find out by getting a fecal done.he’s always been on the smaller side, but he’s a great eater and definitely a healthy boy
I would wait to cut his food down. Feed him as you have been the next month or two. They can keep growing up to about 14-15 months. Did you run one fecal or do a follow up one as well? If only one I would get a second one run to be sure. The parasites produce in cycles so you can get a clean fecal but the parasite is not producing oocysts at the time which is what they find in the fecal.he’s already had a fecal done and he’s in the clearhere are some more pics of him, he’s always been on the slimmer side. i used to be worried about him being underweight, but after getting the fecal done and ensuring proper husbandry, and feeding him daily(although i’m about to cut his food at a year of age) , im no longer worried.
i did one when i first got him and one at age 9months, they were both good. i can definitely look into getting another done, but i don’t want to keep stressing him out at the vet if there’s no need tooi’m mentored under dr. petr necas, and he says he looks healthy, so i feel at peace about his weightI would wait to cut his food down. makes sense! i’m not very active on the forum at all, i’m a mod for some of petrs FB groups so i get caught up! i forgot i posted his enclosure on here awhile agohe’s in a different one now-the old one was too hard to maintain. thank youSounds good. Just wanted to make sure it was mentioned since this was the first post you had done in the forum specific to your cham and not its enclosure. Have fun with him, they are incredible.
