is it possible to attract fruitflies through rotten fruits and then culture them? because i've been planning to breed my veileds and i am preparing ahead so that when the time comes i wont have a hard time finding food for them THANKS :D

and 2 questions how do i know if my fruit flies have mites? IF your flies have mites is it safe for the chameleon to eat?

Yes, it is possible, but you do not want to do that. Your house would become infested with flies. The flies you purchase do not fly. They are much easier to control. Just buy a couple cultures a few weeks before the expected hatch date.

no one is selling here in the philippines :(((( HAHAH daymn.. any ways how to attract flightless FF?

they are genetically modified aren't they?

It is a recessive trait.

I would culture the wild flies. Chances are good that you could produce different species of flies that are different sizes so you could continue to use them as you need.

Being from the Philippines you could most likely keep your animals out all year long so having the flies escaping into the house won't be a problem.
