Fruit flies/mites help!

I ordered 2 producing cultures from one of our site sponsors that arrived about 5 days ago. They started producing flies about 2 days ago and I noticed today a ton of tiny whit specs in the cultures. Upon further inspection they are moving and are mites. I was going to use these flies to start other cultures but that is out now.
My question is can I feed the flies from these cultures or should I just toss them?

Last time I ordered a culture from Josh's frogs I got a ton of mites with them. I will never buy fruit flies from them again.
The mites wont hurt anything but will make the culture die off sooner than one without mites. You can still feed the flies out.

Thanks! That helps a lot. Yeah thats where I got mine and was really disappointed.

Time to feed them off ;-) and look for another supplier to start new cultures.
