Looks to be coming along nicely! Just a thought, those timbre dowels look a little tough to walk on, perhaps you could use some artificial vines of different thickness? might be easier on the feet.
Sweet looking Lizard! :)

Thanks Jo. I didn't shoot pics of the enclosure, but I do have a ton of different vines throughout. I was using the dowels for basking, cuz he is getting pretty heavy for the vines. He uses them for climbing about the enclosure. They don't stay up well. Any suggestions on rigging something??

Ah ok, with a good look at the structure of the cage I might be able to suggest something, depends how its made really, some designs are easier for rigging vines etc than others, and ofcourse if its new, most are reluctant to put holes in it or anything :)
I just assumed they were his main perches, there is nothing wrong with them at all, but cleaning poo means they should be easy removed/replaced.
I use a twist tie like rubber coated product for vines myself, but I have a flexarium, quite easy to rig them up. You dont want to ruin your cage.
He looks pretty happy to me, if its working out well, why change it.
Look forward to pic/s of the whole cage if you can put some up. :)

He's a lovely looking cham! He's got a nice lot of colour on him! :D I have a length of dowelling in Amy's cage too and she quite often chooses it over the vine or larger branch. I think that maybe the wood feels smoother than the rough and lumpy texture of the vines.

Jojackson, how do you make vines out of that rubbery stuff? I tried it with some but it didn't seem sturdy enough! Maybe I twisted it wrong?

I have a 4x2x2 from lll reptile. I have the dowels held in place by(laugh) push pins through the screen. Easy to remove for cleaning!!! I've plastic zip tied the vines to the wood I have in the enclosure to better keep them from moving too much. I'll post some pics of the cage in a bit!!

Sorry for the double post. Thanks Tiff!! He's been a little darker in color since I moved his cage into another room. More privacy for him!! He's starting to lighten up a bit as of late. He's due for a shed soon, so we'll see what we get!!

Lil this is the stuff I use. Its quite stiff but bendable.

The paper around the pot is parchment paper. Thin and breathable. It dries completely every night. Frogg is an avid dirt eater, obsessing over it, so this keeps him out.

That looks fantastic just as it is! Just one small suggestion though?
With your dripper, it might be handy if you could extend it to within easy reach of the perch below it.
At present your little bloke might be happy to drink from the leaves, but it couldnt hurt to ensure easy access to the dripper end, should he decide to drink directly from it at some point, particularly during the warmer months of the year when evaporation may make getting enough water from the leaves difficult.
Other than that it looks great, I wouldnt change a thing.
Do watch his behaviours over time though, If the heat lamp sits ontop, and should he ever begin climbing the mesh, it might prove too close? Something to keep in mind, you could always raise the lamp a little and simply pin the basking dowel higher.

Every keeper makes adjustments/changes as time goes by, its never perfect for long, but this is the fun of keeping reptiles of any kind.
Thanks for posting your cage pics!
best wishes :)

Thanks Jo. I appreciate your input. I'll advance the dripper and see how it goes! I guess I didn't get a good shot of the lights, sorry. The 60w is off the mesh about 2 inches. I had to move the dowel down about 2 in as well, for the summer months. Basking temps were too high. And, as he gets taller the distance between him and the light obviously gets shorter!! Yes, I have made a number of adjustments so far and I know I'm not done!! The troubleshooting and problem solving is all part of the fun, I agree:D
