freezing mealworms

Hi!
So I´ve heard that lot of people freeze their mealworms so they dont turn to beetles. But I got some questions about this:
1. Will they eat while being frozen?
2. Do we talk about the freezer or just the cooler?
3. If I gutload them before freezing, will they be gutloaded when I feed them?

you put them in the fridge and they go dormant.
Yes you gut load before you put them in the fridge.
Yes they stay gut loaded since they are dormant.
Yes they can last more than 6 months in the fridge.

However i would recommend bringing them to lizard room temperature for several days before feeding so you can gut load them fresh.
