Yes, people, I said free. (and you're saying "what's the catch?"...)
I have 2 male red bar ambilobe panther chams that are classified as "special needs" that I have decided to give away, as I can sure use the space.
Male Panther #1: I got him 3 years ago via Chameleon Company at 3 months of age for new blood for my breeding. He was perfectly fine until about 1.5 years old when he developed (I'm guessing) some sort of neurological problem that affected movement in everything but his head. It has slowed him down quite a bit and he basically does not move and needs to be hand fed and watered (but loves attention) and other than that, is healthy.
Male Panther #2: I got him 2 years ago via Kammerflage at 3 months old for the same reason - new blood for breeding. At about 9 months of age, he started to develop a kink in his spine close the base of his tail and it just got progressively worse. He moves around a little and especially when he's in the free range but he still needs to be hand fed and watered and is otherwise healthy.
Both of these boys are alert and healthy, they just need a little TLC. I could really use the space and decided that I would give these boys up if someone wanted them. The only caviat is that I would rather not ship these boys so if someone is in the area and can come pick them up, that would be splendid.
I will post pictures of them in a bit.
***This posting is in NO WAY a bash on Kammerflage or Chameleon Company. These are both great companies that stand by their chams and I have continued to purchase from them since then. I just chalked it up to something that happened. As anyone who has bred chameleons or has had several of them knows, sometimes there is one in every bunch that either has an issue or just doesn't make it despite your care, which I believe was the case in both of these instances.
