Seems to be a dermestid, they are what're used to eat the skin off bones when people use them to make jewelry, furniture, etc.

Pest insects in cricket shipments happen with almost every company. Most are very harmless and won't spread if you're keeping your crickets properly contained, not to say a dermestid would infest your home anyways, I'm not very familiar with them.

Looks like a dermestid to me too. I get them in my roach colonies sometimes. They have never been a problem and they eat any insects that die too. I have fed them out to a few different types of reptiles with no problems.

I've got both the larvae and the beetles in every shipment of crickets that I've received. I have been just vacuuming them out when I clean the cricket bins out.

Pretty interesting to find out what they really are though.

Yep........that would be the larvae. They are fast little buggers that can climb pretty well too.
