I don't own a cat...but...it was very interesting!

We used to have a cat, but childhood allergy to cat dander reactivated so we had to re-home her.
Unfortunately, the allergy is worse now; I have trouble visiting friends with cats. I can take some antihistamines for the air, but if you know cats, for some reason they're all over the person who wants the least to do with them. I'm like a cat magnet.

Works the same for dogs too IMHO.
