Ok, for those of you who know me, I have a 3/4 month old male Jackson's name Wilson, and I've been having trouble getting him to eat. I've had him for a month or two now, and I'm still having trouble!!!!!:( I could really use some help figuring out what to do about all of it.

Here's the problem: He won't eat on a regular basis. Some days, he's ok. Most days, he won't eat at all, or will only eat one or two things, maybe. He's very small, and I'm afraid he's not growing as fast as he should (this is my first cham, so I'm not quite sure since I haven't had something to compare to).

I've tried giving him a better cage, with better lights.
Putting the food in there free roaming.
Cup feeding, bother where I'm holding the cup, and I've also rigged something up so that I can hang a cup in there an walk away. (I don't think he likes me watching him eat).
I've also tried different bugs.

Here are the insects I have:
House Flies
Blue Bottle Flies
Crickets
Silkworms
Mealworms
Superworms
And at times, I've given him slugs (the one thing he'll always eat, but I don't have them on hand).

Normally when I first give him a new kind of bug, he'll go for it, but then get bored within a day, and won't eat it again. How many types of insects do I need?????

Also, does timing help at all? ie, if I feed him at the exact same time each day, will he be more likely to take it?

Should I give him just one type of insect a day, or offer a veriety a day??

Any advice would be really really really appreciated!!!!!

THANKS!!!

I cup feed at about the same time everyday and mine do not like being watched. I only use crickets and silkworms as staples and hormworms as a variety feeder. Try giving some privacy and see if that helps.
