Food? Health? Enclosure?

My Cham is acting weird recently: he has food (crickets/mealworms), water, light, good temperature and humidity, but he' started going on the floor of his cage a few days ago. I thought he's hunting, but crickets and worms are above him on the ceiling and worm feeder.

Should I be concerned? Is he feeling good?

The mealworm is the worst sugar coated alien~ated food for ur cham, what I picture here is a chameleon lock in the confined place and eating the unhealthy meal day after day....if I was the cham ,I will get away from the Alcatraz n taste the freedom n real meal asap.

why would you write something like that? just to increase post count? please don't bother again
I am asking for an advice, if you don't like mealworms - don't eat them
if you'd bother to read what I wrote instead of writing some stupidity, you would know that he has a variety of food available

If u can let me know he eats a varity feeders without putting the mealworm word in there then my answer will be totally different with u expected, I wont deny my already wrote reply since the mealworm is no value in any aspect on the nutrition parts and easily to get addicted without eating other type of the food especially from the chameleon keeper's view and if u dont understand what I meant,u can feed as much as u please,Im not here to tell or stop what u doing,Im just here to give u my opion the rest is all up to u n I will be gone out of ur thread sooner than u feeding a mealworm to ur cham.no drama here for my snow in night,u will be u n I still be me.

Hm, that is still not gives answer to my question.
Why bother to type bunch of text...just to type?
Your point noticed - thank you (its 'you', not 'u'), but it doesn't answer if it has something to do regarding why my cham is hanging on the floor or.

Your chameleon being on the bottom of the cage could be for many reasons. Some instances....cages size not suitable, temperature not correct, maturing male getting restless, etc.

What kind of chameleon do you have and what age is he/she?

It's Veiled Chameleon, Male, he's 7-8 month old, cage is 18x18x36
He's not all the time at the bottom, but I notice that he's wandering there from time to time and he was only going there before very rarely, mostly to get crickets from the bottom

He's not dark green like he's unhappy and visually looks healthy!

At that age, he is beginning to mature. He will need a larger cage whenever you are able to provide it for him. I bet you are just seeing a restless behavior due to him wanting to explore and move about more.

Your welcome n Im glad u except " part of my reply" ....its hard to communicate with my poor telepathy way in this snow storm,Im not used to write a formal English letters neither Im perfect in any human way,but I can share with "you"(better than "u" ha) What I learn n use it on my chameleon keeping history.
Regarding to your question,me n "you" both know we can never sure how your chameleon feels but we can kind guessing thru our experience....personally your cham just wanting to be out of the cage,"you"can just open the door and I bet "You" 100 non mealworms feeders that he will walk out of that cage sooner than "you" can think!
Should I be concerned? Is he feeling good?
So my answer to you is "I dont think your chameleon is feeling good.

Yes, I do see him exploring cage as before he used to hang out mostly in the upper part, but now he's acting like a monkey wandering from branch to branch
