Is there anything other than small crickets I can feed to a 3 mos. old veiled? I was told to wait until 6 mos. for meal, wax, silk worms. Anything?

Anything of the appropriate size is fine. I feed baby mealworms for example sometimes the day the chameleons hatch- depending on what's on the menu that day.

My 3 month olds are usually able to eat anything an adult would eat because they are getting close to adult size by that age.

Wondering who dreams up some of these "rules"? :D

Wild chameleons eat what they can catch and swallow.
Healthy terrarium chameleons should be able to do the same.

My little guy is about 4.5 mons now and he eats what ever is in his cage lol he has eaten anything from crickets to a horn worm of course all the things he has eaten are small enough for him to eat.

You dont have to wait for him to eat silks and waxworms.
just feed all foods in moderation.

silks are a great staple feeder.

you can try smallpetfeeders.com
they have lots of different bugs, as does reptilefood.com and mulberryfarms.com

i just purchased orange head roaches, discoid roaches, bean beetles (great small food for small chams), silk worms, hornworms, and soon banana roaches.
and of course crickets.
