FOGGER systems for humidity?

I think I remember pssh saying she uses one and her chameleon loves it. While others hate it. So I don't know I want to buy one too so if any one else can elaborate more on this that be great cause Id get one if their worth it.

was browsing and noticed these systems, was wondering if they will be benificial to a chameleon? if no, please elaborate:)

Depending on the climate in your house a fogger can really help stabilize the general humidity level in your cages. By "fogger" most of us mean a room humidifier, not the small terrarium foggers that run off a small dish of water. There are ways to hook up a room humidifier so it sends mist into a cham cage, cycling on an appliance timer. That, in addition to a daily spraying for drinking water can work very well.

i've had one and it works well, just make sure the chameleon has plenty of room to get away from it, which it should do on its own. One of my females got respiratory problems from the fogger, so i believe.

That's why it is important to cycle the fogger based on the room's specific needs (and this may well change by season...AC in summer or forced air heating in winter), not run it constantly, keep the system very clean, and make sure the cage can dry out well for a few hours each day. I like to run a cycle in mid morning, let the cage stay drier in the middle of the day and run it again in mid afternoon. That seems to mimic what a day in the wild might be like. Don't run a fogger at night unless your house is really bone dry all the time.
