I would like to offer some flying feeders for my female veiled. I'm working on making wax worm moths but what kind of benefit would these have? If I could feed those. Also I feed off Phoenix worms; would the black soldier fly be okay to feed? What else is out there? I've heard of locusts of course but can't seem to find them in the US. What else is out there fruit flies are too small and I'm not keeping house fly es or any other type of nasty flies.

wax worm moths aren't very good i think and i read somewhere that they have a hard time digesting wings. It's only the adult locust that fly, and they are massive! lol! I've heard of some people feeding butterflies but they are also just for the odd occasion and you need to make sure they aren't poisonous to your cham. You can feed silk moths but they don't fly, just flutter. Looks to me like flies are your only option? I could be wrong :)

I once caught a dragonfly with my hand and it offered it up to my cham. The dragonfly didn't stand a chance! :D

I Know wax worms are treats but what about the moths. Any input on the digestion anyone? I don't believe she could eat an adult locust eaither:/ do they sell in the US?

Maybe I could breed some dragon flies:) I used to catch them all the.time or maybe breed butterflies? And feed off some of the cattapillars? We used to raise them in elementary school I remember. Does anyone know of a safe butterfly species?

I raise Blue bottle flies for my mantids and the chams love them. They get good exercise chasing them down around the cage. I think raising dragonflies would be very difficult. Blue bottles are my fly of choice.

Thanks for the info!:) I don't want to go catching bugs outside not where I live anyways. Ill probably find some dragonflies by acreek or something. Are you not worried about the blue bottle flies getting loose? I cannot stand a fly in my house lol way too annoying.

I haven't heard that before, can you find the source? I've only heard of some worms' shells being hard to digest.
