I know you don't use loose substrate. I actually use the green reptile carpet for the bottom of mine but it is actually beginning to be a pain.

So my question is.... Is it sanitary to just clean it daily and leave it bare? Or use something else? I am starting to think it maybe easier for me to leave it bare. The loose worms hide under it. It gets wet and stay wet all night long from mistings.
So if that is the case what are your suggestions for a drain pain for underneath the cage????

I just leave my floors bare. I clean the droppings daily (that is on the ones who choose to poop in their enclosure.. I have one that will hold it to keep from going in his enclosure and then poop as soon as he gets out to play). Then every 1 to 2 weeks I take everything out and clean in 40 volume peroxide.

I have seen several drainage systems on here. I'm sure you will get many ideas :)

yes, this is why we try and tell people to leave it bare. If the carpet is causing your cage to constantly stay wet, it could possibly lead to respiratory problems with your chameleon. You can drill a hole or holes and put a bucket underneath. Personally, I use a dripper and know exactly where the water is going to fall and then I just put a shallow tupperware container underneath to catch the water.

thanks....

I think I will start that.

As far as the dripper in my baby's cage I have a dish where it goes and alternate it with it's plant. In my bigger baby's cage his mister drips right into the plant and a dish I have underneath it.

Thanks.....

Now just have to get a nice way for the drainage....
