Flies in my viv?

I've got a 4 month old male carpet cham. To date he's only eaten crickets, and we just started feeding dubia.

Over the past 2 days I've noticed some small flies (I'm guessing they're fruit flies, or something similar) flying around the cage. I've killed about 5-6 now. I never feed flies so I don't know where they're coming from.

How do I tackle these things now before they get out of control? I'm not sure where they are coming from, or what to do. I spot clean daily, never leave poop sitting around or anything like that. Have a good drainage system too.

Thanks for any help

Do you have fruit laying around outside the fridge?, do you breed crickets or dubias?, do yyou leave any windows or doors opened?, any other pets inside home?

Fruit flies come from just about any old food. If I leave the food in the roach bin a day to long they are around the bin. I once forgot to change out the food for a week and noticed the flies were coming into the living room. Boy did I get up and clean them out right away.

The only thing we have laying out is bananas, and I don't see flies anywhere near them. I don't breed, I always buy new feeders weekly, and wash my cricket bin in between. No windows or doors open, we live in the Midwest, it's freezing here :) and no other pets

I use Bug Burger for my feeders, and I change it every 48 hours per the instructions. The weird thing Is I have only seen the flies in the cham's cage, haven't seen any near the feeders or near the feeder food at all. I'm just dumbfounded by this, no clue where they could be coming from. My only guess Is maybe the one live plant I have in there? Could they somehow have started in the soil?

The flies are probably coming from the soil. I have the same issue although i've seen my veiled shooting at and eating the flies so I leave them. Ive had only 2-3 at most at a time.

I thought of this too, that the cham might just eat them. I've seen him watching them closely, but not strike at them. Although I've only seen 5-6 of them, and I've managed to kill the ones I see. I have good drainage, but I suppose with moist soil around all the time (mister goes off 4x a day for 2 minutes a time) it's bound to possibly be the culprit
